almost Rockies

hard to believe, but i turned down 3 free Colorado Rockies tickets for last sunday's game against the Dodgers. they were the best seats i would have ever had in my life. 20 rows back from the first base line. it was for a good cause though. there was a very important 3 year old birthday party to attend for some friends of ours.

i have an anouncement. everyone listen up!! the colorado rockies are no longer the worst team in the National League. yeah!!! pittsburg has managed to fall just below them in the standings. and with kansas city being the "worst" team in the mlb, rockies are only the 3rd worst record overall. that is way better than 1st worst any day! side note: i watched 2 pirates games this year vs reds and astros

almost rockies. that's been the theme all season. they almost always win. they seem to almost win every game, but rarely pull it off :) they will be up like 8-2 in the 7th and the other team will just have an amazing inning. loose the game in one inning. crazy stuff too. i don't understand it. they have some awsome talent.

the rockies replacement catcher for most of the year (replaced closser), danny ardoin is from louisiana. it's funny to listen to him talk on tv. the media is fascinated at how "cajun" he sounds.

well, i'm hoping to get one last game in for the season... but with only a week or so of regular season left, it may not happen. i was trying to get my #10 ballpark at Coors field. may just have to wait til next year.
