lucas was telling me on friday that coffee makes you dehydrated. i didn't believe him, but after all the coffee i've been drinking... let me tell you it's true! ok, time to lay off.

i'm sick
yeah, i'm home sick today with a terrible sore throat. no fever, no laying in bed all day long... just feel terrible from the neck up. what's bad is i can't eat anything cuz it hurts too bad. making me weak and all. i tell you what though... this is the perfect sickness for me. don't get me wrong, i hate being sick. it's just that the only thing that makes my throat feel better is a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate. needless to say.. i've been trying to drink a cup of coffee per hour. you know... for the throat. :)

christmas party
we had our division christmas party at work today. we all exchanged gifts using the random pick a number and steal one from someone or grab a new one method. well, there were (among other great gifts) 3 $10 gift cards to starbucks and i actually passed them up. my number (21) was called nearly last, but i opted for the princess bride special edition DVD. that's inconceivable! but it was widescreen and everything! ohhhh man, that movie is classic. anyway... celebrated this evening by watching it with caleb and drinking a fresh cup of community.

caribou coffee
i have found a new great coffee... well, at least it's new to me. the pastor's wife gave us some decaf caribou coffee and it is amazing. i don't even like decaf. in fact, one of my favorite things to do in the world is make fun of people who drink decaf... but this stuff was great!
