coffee makes him smile!
my brother, my mom, my dad, caleb & i were driving up to the mountains the other day and i noticed that dad was pretty quiet. it had been like 30 minutes or so since he had even said a word. he wasn't mad or nothing... just didn't have anything to say. well, someone mentioned the word coffee while they were rambling on about something and you should have seen his eyes purk up. :) it was right on cue! so i said "there is a starbucks up in woodland park... we can stop". he smiled. right on dad!yes, the latte was good!

island
my project earlier this week...
our kitchen island is now a snackbar/island. i wanted to replace the existing countertop to match the rest of the kitchen but (believe it or not) it was actually cheaper to lay granite tile. slightly stronger/better this way too!
